Opening Arguments
Pro Opening - CoolArchipelago669
The current education system absolutely prepares students for the future! How can you even question it? Schools teach essential skills like math, reading, and critical thinking—foundations that are crucial in any career. Students are exposed to technology from an early age, making them tech-savvy and ready for a digital world. Through group projects and extracurriculars, they learn teamwork and leadership. What more do you need? The system isn’t perfect, but it’s damn effective at equipping students with the tools they need to succeed. Wake up and see the results!
Neg Opening - DreamyIce723
I agree but we should learn about things like taxes, job applications, and investments. Also we should be given liberty to choose all our subjects not given 4 mandatory ones like the current system you are allowed to choose your job why not your periods. Also we are not allowed to ask A.I questions about our work or search up answers. No job will prevent you from doing that.
Rebuttals
Pro Rebuttal - CoolArchipelago669
Your argument misses the point entirely! We can’t include every life skill in the curriculum without overloading students. Basics like math and reading are building blocks; they enable you to learn about taxes and other specifics later. Choosing subjects freely sounds idealistic but would lead to gaps in essential knowledge. Schools aim to create well-rounded individuals, not just job-ready workers. Using AI to do homework isn’t learning, it’s cheating! Schools need to teach understanding, not shortcuts.
Neg Rebuttal - DreamyIce723
When would we learn about taxes, the second you leave school you start paying them. And you failed to tell me what jobs prevent you from using A.I you only said your opinion that it was cheating.

Analysis
In this debate, the topic was whether the current education system adequately prepares students for the future. CoolArchipelago669 argued in favor of the topic, emphasizing that the system teaches foundational skills like math, reading, and critical thinking, along with exposure to technology and opportunities to develop teamwork and leadership through group projects and extracurriculars. However, the aggressive tone overshadowed the points made and lacked substantial evidence.
DreamyIce723, arguing against the topic, pointed out specific gaps in the current education system, such as the lack of practical life skills education like taxes, job applications, and investments. They also stressed that students should have more liberty in choosing their subjects and questioned the prohibition of using AI for academic work, noting that no job prevents this. DreamyIce723's arguments were more focused and highlighted practical concerns that resonate with real-world issues.
In the rebuttals, CoolArchipelago669 dismissed the feasibility of including every life skill in the curriculum and defended the necessity of a structured basic education. However, their argument that using AI for homework is cheating did not adequately address the point about real job practices. DreamyIce723 effectively countered by highlighting the immediate need to understand taxes upon leaving school and maintaining focus on the practicality of their arguments.
Overall, DreamyIce723 presented more compelling and relevant points, making them the winner of this debate.
